Leading global phone manufacturer, Nokia, has added to the list of its
dual SIM phone offerings in Ghana with the entry of C2-03. The phone, which was launched alongside Nokia X1-01, Nokia C2-00
recently, is third of the range of dual SIM phones Nokia has brought to the
market.
In a statement released to the media, Nokia C2-03 comes with Nokia'sunique Dual SIM capabilities including features that allow the user to
personalize up to five SIM cards. It also boasts dedicated look and feel and an
easy swap option that lets users change SIM cards in seconds without having to
turn off the phone or remove the battery. The phone comes with new Nokia Maps - local maps and places of interest
are pre-installed. This means users can view maps and plan routes when the
phone is in offline mode, thereby saving on the cost of downloading maps over
mobile networks.
Head of Communications, Nokia West Africa, Osagie Ogunbor said with the
introduction of C2-03 the firm was offering users additional options to improve
their experiences in the dual SIM range of phones. According to him, Nokia C2-03 comes with a touch and type feature that
enables the use of finger tips to scroll through websites, phones and music.
‘’Unlike many touch-screen phones, there’s a slide-out keypad for fast,
easy typing like your computer would,’’ he said.
General Manager, Nokia West Africa, James Rutherfoord, said that Nokia
C2-03 is very affordable and competitive amongst its peers as consumers can get
more of what they desire. Some offerings that users have, he said, include easy
access to Facebook, applications, email, maps and the Nokia Life Tools.
He stated further, ‘’the phone delivers a great internet browsing experience
through the data compression technology of the Nokia browser, which keeps the
costs of surfing low and speeds up page downloads to benefit both consumers and
operators’’.
Mr. Rutherford, explained that the Nokia C2-03 offers users some unique
features that sets it apart from other dual sims phones. “C2-03 is the first
ever touch and type dual SIM phone to feature easy swap, a feature that is
unique to Nokia phones. It is the first time devices are shipped with new Nokia
browser that allows users access the Internet faster, easier and more
affordably.”
